batch processing
Etymology: ME, baten, to bake
a processing mode used with computers in which accumulated similar programs and input data are processed simultaneously.

batch processing,
n 1. data processing in which a number of similar input data items are grouped together and processed during a single machine run with the same program.
2. the processing of a group of instruments through sterilization or disinfection.
