Basidiomycotina

/Ba·sid·io·my·co·ti·na/ (-o-mi″ko-ti´nah) a subdivision of fungi (or in some systems of classification, a class) comprising the club fungi, in which spores (basidiospores) are borne on club-shaped organs (basidia).

In one system of taxonomy, a phylum of the true fungi. It is equivalent to the class Basidiomycetes in another system of taxonomy.
