Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
[bach′ələr]
an academic degree awarded on satisfactory completion of a 4-year course of study in a college or university. The recipient is eligible to take the national certifying examination to become a registered nurse. A BSN degree is a prerequisite to advancement in nursing education and advancement in many systems and institutions that employ nurses.
