At a meeting earlier this year, Karl-Johan Soderholm of the University of Florida in Gainesville reported tha BIS-GMA is weakly estrogenic in mice. Most dentists have resisted using the more aesthetically pleasing composites for grinding surfaces--initially because the BIS-GMA materials did not hold up as well to wear. |
