Avibacterium
a genus of gram negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod shaped bacteria in the family Pasteurellaceae that are found predominantly in birds. Previously members of the genus Pasteurella.

Avibacterium avium
commensal in birds. Can cause sinusitis and pneumonia in calves. Previously called Pasteurella avium and Haemophilus avium.
Avibacterium gallinarum
commensal in birds, but an occasional cause of low grade disease.
Avibacterium paragallinarum
the cause of infectious coryza in chickens.
Avibacterium volantium
commensal in birds; not known to be pathogenic. Previously called Haemophilus paragallinarum.
