7 /PRNewswire/ -- Results of new analyses in the Assessment of Lescol in Renal Transplantation (ALERT) study demonstrate that fluvastatin offers already renal-compromised patients, a safe long-term therapeutic option to control hypercholesterolemia without impacting renal function.
The lipid-lowering drug fluvastatin reduces the risk of premature cardiovascular death in renal transplant recipients, according to the results of the Assessment of Lescol in Renal Transplantation (ALERT) trial.
