Aspirin Versus Anticoagulants in Symptomatic Intracranial Stenosis. A trial comparing the safety and efficacy of aspirin vs oral anticoagulants in the secondary prevention of vascular events in patients with symptomatic stenosis of the middle cerebral artery.
Primary endpoint Cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, major haemorrhage.
Conclusion The study was halted in 2004 due to slow enrollment, but  suggested that aspirin is the treatment of choice for preventing vascular events in patients with symptomatic middle cerebral arterial stenosis.
