In the UK market, Asmasal Clickhaler was launched in 1997 and Asmabec Clickhaler in November 1998.
Early indications are that the product is being well received in the market and is also having a beneficial impact on sales of the salbutamol (albuterol) version of the product, Asmasal Clickhaler.
This follows the launch by Medeva of Asmasal Clickhaler (salbutamol/albuterol) a bronchodilator for the relief of asthma attacks, in late 1997 and gives Medeva the two most commonly prescribed compounds in a UK asthma market segment estimated at 490 million pounds per annum.
