Arum
a genus of the family Araceae which contains many ornamental plants. Includes A. italicum, A. maculatum. Causes intense irritation to the oral mucosa, thought to be due to oxalate raphide crystals in the plant. Called also arum lily, cuckoopint, lords-and-ladies.
