antipathic (an·te·pathˑ·ik),
adj in opposition to the disease. Describes a method of treatment whose main consequence is the antithesis of the malady. The drugs used in this technique contrast those used in the homeopathic method where the consequences of the remedies are the same as the disease. Also called
enantiopathic. See also allopathic.
