Antibodies Specialized cells of the immune system which can recognize organisms that invade the body (such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi). Evibodies(TM) are small antibody-like proteins that can be used as drugs or diagnostic agents in applications where whole antibodies may be unsuitable. Human sera from the United States, Thailand, and sub-Saharan Africa and chimpanzee sera were tested for neutralizing antibodies to 3 chimpanzee adenoviruses. In early 1999, they reported that another class of immune cells, B cells, and the antibodies they produce are at the heart of the problem. |
