Anguina lolii
grass nematode that parasitizes grass seedheads and converts the seed into a gall. A toxin is produced when Clavibacter toxicus (Corynebacterium raythi) is present. The clinical effects are principally nervous ones especially incoordination, convulsions and death. The grasses susceptible to the worm are annual or Wimmera rye (Lolium rigidum) and Chewing's fescue (Festuca rubra commutata). Called also Anguina agrostis, A. funesta.
