Guttiferae) family of plants; contain the photosensitizing agent hypericin causing primary photosensitive dermatitis; includes H. aethiopicum, H. lanceolatum, H. leucoptychodes, H. perforatum (amber, goat weed, St. Johns wort, Klamath weed), H. revolutum (forest primrose), H. triquetrifolium (curled-leaved St. Johns wort).
