u u u Alfredo Vigil is the new president of the New Mexico Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
The proposed model, which was presented in Washington to a large group of insurers, employers and physicians in November, already has the support of The American Academy of Family Physicians, The America College of Physicians--Internal Medicine, The American Academy of Pediatricians, and The American Osteopathic Association, which collectively represent more than 300,000 doctors.
National recommendations for initial UI management have been provided by the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR/AHRQ) web site, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) bulletin, and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) monograph.
