a topical corticosteroid. indications It is prescribed for the relief of symptoms of inflammation and pruritus of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. contraindications It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug. Children may absorb proportionally greater amounts of the drug per area of skin surface and should be treated with the smallest amount of the drug needed. adverse effects Among adverse reactions are burning, stinging, and itching.
