Alaskan malamute a heavy boned, powerfully built, gray or black and white, thick-coated dog with great strength and endurance, used originally for pulling sleds in Alaska. The breed is subject to an inherited chondrodysplasia with hemolytic anemia, factor VII deficiency and hemeralopia. |
