Afghan hound a tall, long silky-coated dog with pendulous ears, high tail carriage and a very elegant appearance. The breed originated on the Sinai peninsula and was later used as a sight hunter in northern Afghanistan. Called also Tazi. The breed suffers from inherited cataracts and a hereditary myelopathy. |

The new puppy--dubbed Snuppy

24--is the genetic double of a 3-year-old male Afghan hound. "Only their lean Afghan hound looks
at the camera, as if he knows the future secret of their terrible
deaths, the location and order" (79).
