Q. I need information as to what may be the adverse effects of alcohol consumption? I am a social worker. I am taking measures to bring down the incidence of alcoholism in my neighborhood. As part of the measures, I need information as to what may be the adverse effects of alcohol consumption? I am planning to make it as a power point presentation to be viewed by the alcoholics in my area. I am ready to bear the cost as my dad runs a business and would appreciate my efforts towards a social cause.

A. the heart and circulation system is affected by causing coronary heart disease,hypertension,heart failure,and stroke.....irritation ,from large amounts of alcohol can cause gastritis and ulcers.....alcohol acts like a diuretic increasing urine output,prolonged heavy drinking can cause renal failure....BEHAVIORAL SYMPTOMS,,aggressiveness,,uncontrolled anger,selfishness,frequent changes of jobs,neglect of food intake and personal appearence,,,PHYSICAL SYMTOMS are nausea,vomiting,shaking,abdominal pain,cramps,numbness or tingling,weakness in the legs and hands,irregular pulse,redness and enlarged capillaries in the face,,unsteadiness,,confusion,poor memory,........mrfoot56

Q. Will there be any adverse effect? I am planning to start on multi vitamin tablets and want to know will it be beneficial and will there be any adverse effect?

A. Yes….go ahead and have them…..keep it less initially…..slowly increase 2 then 3 then ....decrease to one per day. You will find your hair and nails beautiful. You will sleep better. It will fill your vitamin gap in nutrition and if it exceeds it will be thrown out of body.
