Acute bronchitis comes on suddenly and usually clears up in a few days.
The control group was found to have an incidence of 45 percent of seniors with two or more LOS days beyond the norm, with 39 related to pulmonary complications (atelectasis causing hypoxia, acute bronchitis, and pneumonia).
