acral lentiginous melanoma
A rare, flat, palmoplantar or subungual melanoma, more common in non-whites, average 5-yr survival < 50%, unrelated to actinic exposure, but possibly related to ectopic pigmentation. See Melanoma.

They are superficial spreading melanoma, nodular melanoma, acral lentiginous melanoma, lentigo maligna melanoma, clear cell sarcoma, mucosal melanoma and uveal melanoma.
Acral lentiginous melanoma is the most usual form of melanoma in Asian and Black races.
The four major types of melanoma are lentigo melanoma, superficial spreading melanoma, acral lentiginous melanoma and nodular melanoma.
