48) Acinar cell carcinoma and pancreatoblastoma--Other epithelial exocrine pancreatic tumors, such as acinar cell carcinoma and pancreatoblastoma, are very rare; however, pancreatoblastoma is the most common pancreatic tumor in children.
The incidences of acinar cell carcinoma and adenoma or carcinoma (combined) exceeded those within the historical control range (overall incidence of acinar cell adenoma, 1 of 207 or 0.
The differential diagnosis would also include the rare acinar cell carcinoma of the pancreas, although these tumors have a higher nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio and more cell overlap within cell groups.
