AFF3

A gene on chromosome 2q11.2-q12 that encodes a tissue-restricted nuclear transcriptional activator preferentially expressed in lymphoid tissue, which may function in lymphoid development and oncogenesis.

Molecular pathology
In some ALL patients, AFF3 is fused to the gene for MLL.
