1,5 AG

A polyol in the diet, whose concentration in the blood falls when blood glucose levels rise above 180 mg/dL. Monitoring levels of 1,5-AG helps identify patients with normal hemoglobin A1c levels who nonetheless have very elevated blood sugar levels after meals.
