(kēl),
1. Paratyphoid or salmonellosis of ducklings.
2. The anatomic term referring to the line along the ventral aspect of bird's breastbone; a bony prominence.

keel

(in prosthetics) a device in a stored-energy foot prosthesis that bends the foot upward when weight is applied to the toe. See also carina, Seattle Foot, stored-energy foot.
